Kleppinger Bipolar Forceps
The Kleppinger system provides a continuous alternating
current waveform called the "cut" waveform. Because the
waveform "coagulation" is intermittent (damped), less
energy may be delivered to the tissue. The Kleppinger is
marketed with a warning to the purchaser not to
adulterate the electrical cord so that it can be attached
to another generator. This bipolar system has an
additional feature worth noting. The ammeter displays
the current flow during the process of electrosurgical
application until the current ceases to flow. This
